She Prays : Prayer Request?

When I was in college, I was part of a community group (like a bible study group) that gathered on Thursday evenings. As the evening came to an end, we went around in a circle and asked if anyone had any prayer requests for that particular week. I used to write them down on a little notebook and pray for these intentions throughout the week. It was awesome to look back at those intentions and see how (not if) God had answered!

Well, I want to form a safe, small, but powerful, prayer community here. I want to be intentional about praying for you. I want to be less self-focused and more Christ-focused.

How can I (and others who read here) pray for you, your family, and/or friends?

For any prayer warriors out there, please join me in praying for others!

[Please feel free to: Comment or email me (If your request is too personal. You may also post anonymously.), share how He answered your prayer, or anything you would like to share about prayer.]

  1. I would ask for prayers for me. I am under a lot of stress with college applications and finishing my Senior year, that sometimes I loose focus of who really is in charge of my life. Thank you in advance to my sisters in Christ for the prayers!

    1. I am praying for you. I completely understand what you are going through. I went through it my Senior year of college. I remember the night I had a panic attack from over thinking about my future. It was SO windy and dark outside. I went out alone for a walk (not the best idea) and remember telling God that I was tired and that I gave Him control over it all. I also remember telling Him that I was willing to do what He wanted of me...even if that meant NOT being a nurse, as long as it was His will and He was glorified through my life. I really experienced so much peace after that night. I encourage you to continue to make Him your priority and I pray that He gives you wisdom and peace during this time.

    2. Heavenly Father, today I just want to thank You for Grace's life and what You are doing in it. I pray that You grant her peace as she goes through college applications and the stress that comes with them. Remind Grace that You truly do care for Your children. I trust and know You will do something incredible! It's such a relief to know that You already know everything that is to happen. Give her and her family wisdom, that they may pursue Your will and make the best decisions. I pray that, above all, Your will be done, and that You may be glorified in and through her.

      God bless you, Grace!
[I meant to post a small prayer with my previous post. ;-)]

    3. Thank you so much Gabby! The prayer was beautiful, I need to print it out and pray it every day! I don't know if I told you this or not but I am considering going into nursing for college. I am going to see how it goes the first year and then after one year of pre-nursing courses if I discern I am meant to complete a different major then that's what I'll do.

    4. That is so awesome! Nursing is a really neat vocation (but I may be biased ;-) ). If you ever have any questions regarding nursing (or whatever), feel free to contact me. If you have the time, I really suggest volunteering at a hospital during your pre -nursing years. This is the one thing that helped me discern whether or not I was called to be a nurse. I was pretty sure, since I considered nursing since forever, but it was good immersing myself in the healthcare environment. :-)

  2. Dear Gabriela,
I'm about to begin the path of marriage soon and need your prayers to start this journey, to understand my vocation in a better way.
Your blog is so inspiring and helps me to learn from you.
    Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much for reaching out! You reminded me of the importance of humbling ourselves and asking others to pray for our current vocation!

Lord, this afternoon I would like to thank You for the opportunity of praying for Ruth and her future husband. Thank You for the vocation of marriage and the couples you call to it. I thank You because You are the author of her love story. I ask that You be the center of their marriage. I ask you to show Ruth how she can continue to devote herself fully to You, so that it may bless her future marriage. Please give her peace throughout this path. In Your name, Amen.

Congratulations, Ruth! You and your future husband are definitely in my prayers! God bless you.

    2. Thank you Gabriela! I am touched. I will remember you in my prayer too.

  4. Hullo Gabby,
It's my grandmothers birthday coming up and we were just hoping for good health as she enters her late 70's and for my new neice who is 6 weeks today. :-) Also if it;s not too selfish for us to grow even more in our faith..
    Thanks my friend!
